During the Christmas Holidays we’re often asked, “When do you begin to decorate? Not far behind that question is “When do you take your decorations down?”
The answer in both cases is simple…
WhenEVER our Family is here to HELP! For us, the ideal time to decorate for Christmas is the day after Thanksgiving. But this year my Sister Mary Jo Hansen Lindsay, and Niece Megan Smith just happened to be here for a week long visit so we began early. A similar situation happened today. Both of our boys were here longer than usual for the Christmas Holidays so even though it’s a good week before the Epiphany, I went ahead and took advantage of having the help and took down early the “up high” outside Henington House decorations. What would have taken me hours, possibly days climbing ladders and scaling both the HH Crow’s nest and Widow’s walk, all was completely accomplished in less than an hour and a half!
Though I will miss not being able to take this quiet time between now until January 6 to enjoy the HH all dressed up, I will throughly enjoy having it done and grateful for the time together doing it with the help of my family. ❤️
